Over the course of 2023, AITASA has tackled numerous challenges and was successful in consolidating its activities, reaffirming our commitment to sustainability, innovation and efficiency in comprehensive water management.
This result reflects that capacity of AITASA and those that make it up to adapt to the growing and ever more demanding needs of companies in a challenging and changing economic environment.
They have exceeded €16 million, primarily due to the joint treatment service.
AITASA, in its founding activity, redistributed more than 12 hm3 to chemical companies. Even so, the distributed volume increased noticeably as compared to the previous year (specifically, 1.27%), due to the slight increase in the activity of the companies.
Reclaimed water production
Demineralized water production
Distribution of industrial and chlorinated water
Work was mainly done on the project to expand the capacity of the reclaimed water plant. The water comes from urban wastewater treatment plants, which will make it possible to increase the water produced by 50%. With this project, AITASA will be in a position to offer the chemical companies in Camp de Tarragona as much as 9 hm3/year of water.
More than 16 million euros have been exceeded, mainly due to the joint treatment service.
We are determined to contribute to the sustainable growth of the activities of our shareholders. We are committed to continued innovation and improving our activities, with a focus on sustainability and long-term benefits.
This is why we are putting all our effort into developing the project to reclaim the waters from the chemical industry that are transported through the joint pipeline. This project will offer companies the possibility to increase their reclaimed water consumption by 40% as compared to the industry’s total annual consumption.
